Marias River Livestock Association has been an active supporter of the Ag community since 2012. We are a voice for local producers and sponsor local meetings to keep our community informed.
The association came together with the purpose of supporting the livestock industry through education for the public on agriculture issues, promoting agriculture legislation and informing the association members of issues that may affect their operations. One of our key goals is to promote interest in livestock production and agriculture to our youth. MRLA considers our youth are most important crop.
With all these goals in mind, MRLA holds multiple informative meetings open to the public and sponsors events for our four county area.

Marias River Livestock Association YOUTH LEADERSHIP - Sponsoring the annual 4-H livestock Market with 4-H kids
Marias River Livestock Association Hosting Cheatgrass ‘Weed and Feed’ featuring a free BBQ - This invasive annual grass is popping up everywhere and spreading fast. Marias River Livestock Association will be hosting the Tools to Manage Cheatgrass
Marias River Livestock Association Sponsors meet and greet sessions planned for to help introduce the community to the newest members of our area’s grizzly bear and predator management team. MRLA is a great support for predator control
Marias River Livestock Association Sponsored the “Wild Pig Symposium on the Border” Farmers, ranchers, hunters, any landowner, Border Patrol agents encouraged to attend. While we haven’t experienced the extensive damage feral pig or wild boars can cause here in Montana, this could change rapidly without vigilance on the part of farmers and ranchers.
Marias River Livestock Association Co-sponsors a conference to help Montanans transition their farms and ranches to the next generation . Workshops, guest speakers, financial strategies are part of the events.

Marias River Livestock Association Is a sponsor of the MFBF Young Farmer And Rancher Leadership Conference. This one-of-a-kind event allows Montana’s Young Farmers and Ranchers to come together and take part in a top notch agenda including relevant keynote speakers, breakout sessions, agricultural industry tours and more!
